Human Rights and Women

Despite commitments at international, regional and national levels to advance women’s rights, gender inequality remains a great challenge in many parts of the world.

Harmful cultural practices continue to perpetuate low status of women and render women susceptible to human rights violations.

Thus, this project aims at promoting and protecting the human rights of women through the empowerment of women to assert their rights and ensure their full participation in political, economic and social sphere of life.

The  project also aims at facilitating access to justice for women and assist them in seeking redress whenever the encounter human rights violations.
