Despite commitments at international, regional, and national levels to advance women’s rights, reproductive justice, gender inequality, and cultural norms remain a great challenge in many parts of the world.
Harmful cultural practices, continue to perpetuate the low status of women and render women susceptible to human rights violations.
Thus, this project aims at promoting and protecting the human rights of women through the empowerment of women to assert their rights, legal aid, and litigation support, and ensure their full body autonomy and full participation in the political, economic, and social spheres of life.
The project also aims to facilitate access to justice services for women and girls, including sex workers, and assist them in seeking redress whenever they encounter human rights violations.
